Outlook private meeting1/2/2023 ![]() Has anyone seen this before? Is there a fix? I would assume deleting and recreating the organizer's Outlook profile wouldn't have anything to do with a resolution.įor reference, we're using Exchange 2013, Cumulative Update 14, and all of our staff are using Office 2016. Once the update had been sent, the meeting appeared Private to other users on all the attendees' calendars. We tried opening up the troubled meeting on the organizer's calendar, toggled the Private setting off and on (since it was still selected), and sent an update to all attendees. We are running on Ex2003 and Outlook 2007. This only occurs with private meetings and non-private meetings can be updated and changed without issues. A Microsoft 365 subscription offers an ad-free interface, custom domains, enhanced security options, the full desktop version of Office, and 1 TB of cloud storage. I am able to reproduce on my own computer despite my account having full admin rights over the domain. Weve developed a suite of premium Outlook features for people with advanced email and calendar needs. Depending on the global privacy settings of each recipient's calendar, we could open the Private meeting and view its details view just the time, length, and name of the meeting, or only that a recipient was free or busy. Recreating the Outlook user profile did not resolve the problem either. Click on Share in the top ribbon on the upper right corner. However, when we viewed the calendars of the recipients (as myself and another user, who weren't invited to the meeting and neither of which have Author/Owner rights to the calendars of the recipients), the meeting still showed as non-Private. Click on the Calendar icon in the lower left corner. She then sent it to five other recipients, who accepted the meeting and added it to their calendars. Locate and click the drop down next to My Organization and determine what you want people in the College to see on your calendar. Click the three dots (More Options) to the right of the calendar name. Locate your Calendar on the left navigation pane. However this made every meetings in that resource conference room calendar marked as privateĪnd not just the user that changed her meetings marked as private.A user created a meeting through Outlook 2016 and set it as Private. Click the Calendar icon in the lower left corner. When I used the Microsoft power shell command RemovePrivateProperty ('Set-CalendarProcessing "" -RemovePrivateProperty $false'). ![]() I understand the Exchange 2013 by default it does not enforce the meeting privacy with the resource conference room calendars. ![]() ![]() I have a user who wants to have some of her meetings created in the resource conference room calendar show up marked as private, and she has individually marked those required meeting as private. We just recently migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2013 both running the standard server and the standard user CAL license. ![]()
